What have you asked for?

Many times we ask for things or we see things that we want but we never consider the cost to obtain these things or places in our life. I am back from a wonderful conference and I am implementing many of these things into my life and business but I never knew the cost of time, energy and all it would take to get to where I am going…. Be sure about what you ask for!!!!!

Cherish the DAY

As I reflect this morning on 10 years ago before I had my precious daughter I think about the things that have transpired in those ten years. No not all those things were positive and many were not negative but it was the DESTINY and the path that guided my life up until now. It was the failures that allowed me the opportunities to GROW, LEARN and CHANGE where necessary.

Each day is a new one that will allow you  to continue on this journey that we call LIFE. I encourage you to CHERISH each and every day. No each day is not perfect and each day is not filled with sunshine but each day is a chance to move towards the DESTINY that awaits you.

Destiny

Destiny is inside your dreams

This morning as I woke up I felt pain in my body. All my joints were aching and I felt tired I continued to push forward because I knew there many things ahead for my day. One of the first things I did was step on the scale and I was shocked to see how much my weight had dropped this week. This past week as opposed to other weeks I had been intentional about working out and eating right and the pain I felt getting out of bed was trying to deter me from seeing my dream to reduce my weight.

“Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from the Destiny that lies inside your dreams!!!”

Dream Big Believe Big because your Destiny awaits

Lest we forget: 12 years ago

I am sure that many of us remember exactly where we were 12 years ago TODAY. You have these memories just like you have the remembrance of a birth of a child, a death of a loved one or a special time in your life. Today I want to reflect on my personal memory of that day as well as help those who are still hurting as a result of loss of that day.

On this day I was at the bank when I heard about the first plane and then the TV was on and I saw the second plane hit and I started thinking ” hmmmm what is going on with those planes?” I then started thinking about how close we lived to New York and whether this might be an attack of some sort and I was driving in my car talking to my mother and the plane hit at the Pentagon. I was startled and immediately went to my parents house to be with family. At that time I was not married and had no children. My mother and I tried to call her brother who although had retired from working at the WTC still went everyday to the Bowery to minister to the persons suffering from Alcoholism. We could not reach him and we began to pray because we knew if he was down there he was trying to help save lives. We finally reached him and he said ” today I just wasn’t feeling good so I did not go today but I really want to go now and pray with people.”

Fast Forward: Today I have two beautiful children, girl and boy. Both of my parents are still alive and suffering a few health challenges but pressing on and my uncle who suffered lung cancer since that time still goes to the Bowery at the WTC area but not every day. I am thankful for this gift called ” Life”. I continue to pray for those that are still suffering from their loss of a loved one and I pray for their healing today. We are all still here because there is GREATNESS in each and everyone of us. You may not be where you want to be but you are not where you were 12 years ago. Lest we forget……
